Sounds like a dangerous equation doesn’t it? Chastise me if you wish, but I know many of you have considered getting some extra work in on your knitting while driving :-P And, I was parked, so there. Actually, I was sitting in a very long line, twice, both waiting to enter and leave the base for the Kirtland Air Show. And since I sat there, completely at a stand still for quite a while, I got a good amount of work done on the pictured beanie. The TaB is only in the picture because I felt that this beanie needed to be pictured with a fellow object of the 80s.
And coincindentally, it came out in Lobo colors without any planning on my part! I’ll have to make myself one later on, but this one is designated for the East Mountain Artists Fair, which Mom and I are planning to enter and hawk some knitted fare. We’re hoping it’ll be a good way to keep us busy with small projects until August, and help us make money to build our ever increasing stashes. Noble cause eh? I like to think so.
Anyway, that’s about all I have, I’m working on a 2nd beanie now that has a silver brim and cherry body, then I’m planning to make more beanies, baby hats, and whatever else I can think of that’s quick and has selling potential. Any fun ideas?
And if you must knit and drive, make sure you’re not going more than like 1.2 MPH for only a few seconds at a time, OK? I’m not going to be responsible for you totalling your car while trying to eat food, talk on the cell phone, shift gears and now knit, all at the same time.
