Welcome to my patterns section! I not only knit from cool patterns that I find, but I also like to make my own patterns for specific uses. And as a big proponent of the open source/free use movement, I promise to release all of the patterns I create online, for completely free! That’s right, free!
However, there are a few stipulations. To encourage fair use, I’m licensing my patterns under a Creative Commons Attribution/Share-Alike License. This is an open license that allows me to maintain rights on my original work, while allowing people to use and expand on the patterns under fair use, with the following conditions:
- You are free to take the pattern and use it however you want! This includes commercial use, as long as you credit the original designer, i.e. me.
- Any modifications to the pattern have to be shared freely, i.e. no packaging the pattern as your own design.
My ultimate goal for this site is to be a great resource for people to come get cool knitting patterns and share their thoughts and ideas. If you do make any modifications to my pattern, let me know, because I’d love to have a working online pattern where people can make improvements and suggestions to what I design. So without further ado, here’s the first pattern!
