The incoherent ramblings of a knitting, yarn dyeing grad student, who also happens to be a guy. You got a problem with that?

Ugh, I'm sorry about your knee. I hope you got in a lot of skiing before that happened.

Yuck! Sorry about the knee, but that weather looks amazing. Glad you managed to enjoy it despite injury.

(And what great socks those are, hooray for seeing them together soon!)

Take care of your bum knee! One of my favorite tricks is to freeze little dixie cups of water and then peel away the top and do an ice massage. At least knitting doesn't require the use of knees!

The snow is incredible!

Hey kiddo, you might want to check with your doc, but it's my understanding that one cannot sprain a ligament. That was the diagnosis I got for a knee injury, which put me in physical therapy. The PT guy said something about my ACL, and I said I want to see Dr. XXX (the orthopod). I managed to get an MRI before the appt, and sure 'nuf, the ACL was torn. And there was a boatload of cartilage damage in there too, all of which necessitated surgery. It was so bad that I needed to see the Doc's PT prior to surgery to get the leg able to straighten, and by then my PT benefit had about expired. My lesson learned? That the docs are trying to keep insurance costs down and don't always go through the tests to make the best diagnosis... ask for an mri! Mine was taken care of relatively soon after injury, but friends that let theirs wait and wait just kept re-injuring. So RICE for now, but see your doc?
