I have always wanted to play the violin. But my parents made me learn the piano instead. I am not sure how well a piano would travel…huh.

You are seriously multi-talented. (And your Mom could write a really good classified…and I’m betting she doesn’t exaggerate, either!) As to your knitting musicians, I’m in for piano, or at least I used to be. Maybe when I get a real job instead of being a grad student I’ll be able to get a piano, too… (wistful sighs)

Ok, at the risk of embarassing my son, I must say that some day some wonderful young woman is going to wake up and realize what a wonderful catch Adam is…he is a great cook, an expert with knitting needles and yarn dye, a violin player, music lover, a dog lover, a guy who can clean a house like a pro (I know because I taught him, and he does windows and toilets too), he is handy and resourceful, he is abnormally smart, and he has a great job, he is a great conversationalist, he is a guy with a great moral and spirtual character, and he is handsome and very charming!!! What more could any girl hope for??? Sorry Adam, it had to be said…love ya~

You’re on to me, I DO want to! ::grin:: My Da played the violin, and I love violin music - although I’ve been led astray by Natalie MacMaster and am now quite devoted to fiddlers (who are just violinists with an Appalachian or Cape Breton accent….) I play soproano (and tenor) recorder and have quite a repertoire of medieval music. I do not claim to play WELL, however! Can I play with your Knitters’ Orchestra on the easy pieces?

Ooh, enjoy Chicago and the sweater!

I play the flute, although not regularly enough anymore to be even amateur orchestra quality. I'd love to have an excuse to make playing a part of my daily routine, though. I think I could even convince Jacob not to eat the flute, at this point! :)
