Yay! Glad you're enjoying the biking. I'm so bad at naming - my kids were practically born before we agreed on names for them. I do like Stacey's suggestion but I would add a middle name like Bessie Blue! (Kind of like Bessie Lou)

When you said electricity and magnetism, all I could think of was 'Auntie EM' (I had a very old workhorse 3 speed-it was practically an antique-that I called my wicked witch bike...so I had wiz of oz on my mind). Or when you're mad, how 'bout 'blue bitch'. Or 'bitchin' blue'? Or just bb.

my entire time at unm i relied on my bike since i had no car and all my money went into tuition, books rent. we used to head out and ride all weekend -- in the sandias and then down to old town with a quick stop for margaritas ;o) i think those are some of my fave memories of abq so i'm enjoying reading about you and your biking!

oh, how about ruby mae? ruby mae is my best friend's daughter and she is this little 4yo that i swear has an old lady living inside her. she is adorable, sufficiently old fashioned and spunky with a serious twinkle in her eyes.

I think you should name her Grace Hopper. Dunno, just feels appropriate. Sufficiently geeky, but not overtly so.

Glad the bike commuting is going so great! I miss being able to do it....How about Bessie for a bike name? A trusty, reliable steed, workhorse (it was the "horse" part that got me thinking) nothing fancy, but quite functionable.
