Of knitting has been on this blog in the past 5 posts! Bad Adam, Bad! It’s not that I haven’t been knitting, there’s been plenty of that going on, it’s just that I don’t have too many exciting things. I’m just about done with my Malamute Socks, so after I finish and graft the toe on the 2nd one, I’ll take some pictures. I’m super excited to finish and wear them, they’ve been wonderful to knit. I think I might even make some fingerless mitts with the leftover yarn, so I can keep my hands warm in style during the day at work. There’s a very nice guy friendly pattern in Knitting with Balls that I think I’ll try out.
I’m also still chugging along on my Mom’s Garden Shawl, even though I’ve yet to take some decent pictures of it. I’m going to build a lightbox this weekend, so I’m planning to do an extensive photoshoot of it in it’s ever-growing state. It’s getting pretty big! I’m afraid it’s just going to engulf my Mom when she wears it and that we won’t be able to find her! At least it’ll look beautiful. ;)
To further distract you from my lack of knitting photos, here’s some cooking pictures instead. I made fresh ahi tuna salad last night, and boy was it good! It has tomatoes, red onions, avocado, sesame seeds, fresh ahi tuna and a spicy soy lime dressing. I put it on some sunflower wheat bread and had it with orange-ginger carrots. It was a yummy dinner and made a tasty lunch today too!
Sorry for the lack of content, but I promise tomorrow will be better! It’ll be Eye Candy Friday with my Malamute Socks, and I’m going to announce some details to a big contest that I’m having. I have a few spare skeins, so I’m going to have a little internet scavenger hunt to build some buzz for the big announcement on Feb. 5. I have a fun little challenge planned, so come back to get all the details! Have a great day everyone!

Man, that salad looks awesome, and sounds even better!
Can’t wait to see what hoops you have us jump through
I was wondering where all the knitting content went! ;)

Mmmmm… tasty tuna salad… Mmmmmm….
You’re making my mouth water–stop it!
That’s some healthy eating!!!
Hey,
That dinner looks yummy…but let’s get back to the knitting! I’ve been letting you slide about my shawl not being done because I know you have been busy with school. But I think this weekend would be a good time for you to get some knitting done on my shawl…it’s mighty cold outside!
I agree, the salad does look tasty.
Hey! Great site dude. I found you last week and have been ‘catching up’ on your posts. It’s great to see another guy that knits. I just started and have a LONG way to go…but I enjoy it and want to get better at it. I do a lot of other crafty things too. Visit my blogsite sometime. I’ve added you to my list of Favorite Places. Have a good weekend! Dang…that salad looks really good.
That is making me hungry just looking at it…
Can’t wait to see all those projects!
(your mom is too cute, by the way. Love that comment. No pressure. hehe)
