12/20: Still snowing…Work is on a 2 hour delay this morning, cause the roads aren’t looking too good. If you’re in Albuquerque too, hope you’re enjoying it, cause it looks like we’re going to get plenty more these next few days.
Yeah, it’s a Snow Day! I even got early dismissal from work! This was the sight that greeted me when I got home from work (although it did take a whole hour to get home).
There was about 3″ of snow in the highest parts, which I haven’t seen in Albuquerque for quite some time. I was expecting the storm to peter out about an hour or so after it started, but it went strong all afternoon. I don’t mind, cause it’s lovely and means I got to make some comfort food for dinner.
Mmmm, I can’t wait to eat this!
Rest assured, I’ll be staying home to watch movies, knit and drink warm substances. Should be a perfect evening.

Snow Day! In North Carolina we almost never get snow either - so it is a treat when we do. The good thing is it never lasts long.
Looks like the new guy is getting along fine!
We got a lot up here. I think we easily got 6″ or more!
Hey Adam! What a perfect snow day! Chili even!! I live close to Shannon and it is a treat, although not fun to drive in it!! Hope you got to knit a lot! :)
now i want to know where shannon and zonda live, as i’m in n.c. too! and snow … love love love snow. we had a freak storm here in 2000. it snowed knee-deep. needless to say, the city closed down for a good week+. i got A LOT of knitting done. no cabin fever for me
the snow mosaic is great … it looks like the doggies celebrated with you.
Hi Adam! Looks like you guys had a fun snow day :)
Thank you for having such a cool blog and really representing what a guy can do with yarn and fiber and still be uber cool! I surfed in thru Cristi/turtlegirl’s site and glad I did.
Come stop by sometimes - my blog is not nearly as well-laid out as yours, but it’s home ;)
Happy Holidays & take care,
Anne
Gorgeous pictures! You have snow, Minneapolis doesn’t. Weird. Hope the chili was tasty - and good to hear about your grades!
so beautiful! we have no snow yet :( no holiday snowboarding…I’ll have to be content to gaze at your beautiful fluffy snow.
Lucky you - it looks like great snowball snow, too! Your dogs look adorable romping around in it.
Hey Adam,
You should feel so lucky with the falling snow. In Hong Kong we get snow too. “Huh?” I hear you cry. Oh, yes we do!!!! From machines situated at HK Disneyland and Ocean Park!! LOL & boohooo.
My hubby is an engineer too BUT he doesn’t knit. He suffers terribly when I summon him to buy my knitting books while he’s overseas or to pay for my stash. If he only knew what a wonderful passion he was missing out on!!!!!
Have a very Merry Xmas and smooch to your darling woggies.
Jen
Adam Your blog rocks!!! Love your work. I live in Ohio and we have yet to get any substantial white stuff. The pot of chili…..yum yum. Have a Wonderful Holiday
My gosh - now I know why we haven’t gotten any snow here in the Austrian Alps - you got it all ;) Amazing photos - enjoy it as long as it lasts! Happy Holidays, and all the very best!
