Say Hello to My Little Friend 07 Dec 06

Peoples of the Interwebs? Meet Junior.

Junior? Meet the Peoples of the Interwebs.

just needs a little love
how can you resist that face?

Junior is a recent member of the household, coming to live with me as a Foster Dog for the next few weeks. I was contacted by the head of Arizona Schnauzer Rescue (the organization that helped me find Dallas) last week, asking if I would be able to foster a dog. Junior was in the pound, and all of the other foster homes in NM were full, and his time of stay was nearing its end. I couldn’t let him be put down, so I agreed to take him in and get him suitable for adoption.

I picked him up yesterday, and he’s such a sweetheart. He’s fairly old (about 8 years), and has quite a few lumps, bumps and scrapes, but he’s just a kind and gentle dog. He wants nothing more than to just follow me around the house and sit by my side. He’s got a few health problems, but nothing that can’t be fixed. And thanks to the wonderful people at AZ Schnauzer Rescue, all of his bills are covered, so that he can be cleaned up and adopted.

I’m very happy to host such a sweetheart, and to have the chance to clean him up and help find him a good home. Isn’t he cute?

Now if I could just convince Dallas and Emma that he’s not a threat…and that he doesn’t really want to romp with them because he’s old and not as nimble as they are…

He’s very cute… are you sure you’ll be able to “give him up” when the time comes :)?

What a sweet looking little guy. I tried to sign up for a fostering program, but my pragmatic other half knew that I would never be able to give one up. The little guy is lucky to have you.
