The weather seems to have cleared up over there in Chicago, so I’m ready to go. I was nervous when I got to the airport this morning, but my flight isn’t cancelled, and I’m sitting in the boarding area with a boarding pass in hand (gotta love the free wi-fi). Yay!
Thanks to everyone who sent me birthday wishes and guessed in yesterday’s contest, you guys made my birthday awesome! I had a very nice day yesterday. I spent a few hours dyeing some yarn, then I had a nice dinner with some family. It was nice just to take a day off and relax, and I’m looking forward to the next two, especially tonight!
The contest is still open, you have until Sunday to guess my age. Now if I could only convince everyone else of how old you all think I am! ;)

Over The Rhine is a group that started in Cincinnati, OH. It’s named after a part of town known for crime and section 8 housing, drug busts, murders, and prostitution. In the 90s, there was also a popular hangout there called The Warehouse, the only one of its kind in conservative Cincinnati. I never went because I was afraid to drive by it, let alone park and have to exit my vehicle.
I was moved to leave this comment when I saw that your yarn at the Etsy store was named after Snow Angels by OTR. I’m impressed that someone in Alb knows about them. :) Back in the day, I think I saw them live at Sudsy Malone’s, which was a bar/laundromat/concert venue. Everyone always paid for their beer in quarters at Sudsy’s.
