In the dark lair of Dr. Church, there are horrendous tools laying everywhere…Tools designed for destruction, to take a computer and cut it open, exposing it’s innards! Such a place that you thought only existed in dreams, where dead computers are brought back to life by cobbling together parts from the computer cemetary. Run for your life, or you may end up with a CD-ROM drive for a heart!!!

Yeah, so anyway, I fixed my computer. Kind of. I got it apart and fiddled with the power button and it booted up! I was so excited, that when I was putting it back together I used the wrong screw in one spot and accidentally drilled through the CD-ROM drive’s ribbon cable. I didn’t discover this until the following morning, when the CD in the drive wouldn’t display on the computer. So I took the whole thing apart again, only to discover my stupid mistake. So I’m happy that my computer works, but it kinda sucks to not have a CD drive right now. Eventually I’m going to track down the cable (which not a standard computer store part) and replace it, but I’m just living without right now.

I have a lot of knitting news to report as well, but I’m going to put that in another post, to follow in a few minutes. And pictures sometime after that, when I can actually get 2 minutes (it’s harder than you think) to load the stuff off the camera.
