So I’m continuing to hack away at the stylesheet, and the site is getting more usable on IE 6 now, so that’s good. The sidebar is still having issues, but that fix should be soon hopefully. The one thing with the blog that I have been noticing lately is that it is S…L…O…W…
What do you think? I guess I’m just spoiled with having very fast internet connections for such a long time, but I really think that my host (Yahoo Small Business) doesn’t serve the site very fast at all.
So to help me find out what people think, I whipped up a quick poll. What do you think of the site’s speed? Vote on the sidebar and let me know what you think. I may just switch web hosting services sometime soon, because I’ve been very dissappointed with Yahoo, speed issues aside. I usually view via bloglines, but when I loaded you page today it did take quite a while. The entire page loaded at once, not text than pics… popped up whole. I use Firefox and have a dsl connection. Good luck :)
It took an extra second or too. I use Yahoo Small Business too, with Safari, and high speed cable. I know my administration page seems to take a while.
Yeah, my administration page takes forever to load also. I love Yahoo’s price, but the speed has seemed somewhat less than stellar. I’ve tried it from numerous places, and it’s the same thing everywhere, so I’m pretty sure it’s Yahoo. I think eventually I’ll switch to a new hosting service, once I have the time to actually backup and migrate my entire wordpress installation.
Definitely slow, even on the T1 line at work. I had assumed you were running it on an old computer at home doing double-duty as a server or something like that. I would look into a new hosting service if I were you. No specific recommendations at this point, but I can ask some of my co-workers what they use, if you want.

This loaded in quickly for me. I’ve sometimes run into slowness issues depending on the theme moreso than the style sheet on my site. I use WP also, and love it. Yours loads MUCH faster than, say, Scout, because she has 2.5 tons of graphics. Keep tweeking, it’s looking great.
